Hearts and Hands for Hunger
This year, we packed 45,000 meals for kids all around the world. In just two hours, the meal packing event taught me a valuable lesson about the importance of teamwork when working toward a goal in a limited amount of time. Everyone was assigned a specific role to ensure each meal was properly prepared, sealed, and boxed. Once each person understood their responsibility and stayed consistent, the process became much more efficient and we were able to pack significantly more meals. Servant leadership is about leading others, but this experience showed me how essential teamwork is in being an effective leader. This event was a great way to end my first year in Servant Leadership and really made me reflect on the importance of serving people I may never meet. It helped me realize how fortunate I am and how meaningful it is to give my time to help others. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience and I’m excited to help raise even more next year to support kids around the world.

Ending Ceremony
After meal packing, we traveled to Highland to wrap up the 2025–2026 Servant Leadership year. Each school shared what they had worked on throughout the year to help raise money for Hearts and Hands, and it was really interesting to hear how each group made an impact in their own communities and around the world. A few awards were also presented, and two of them were earned by Winnebago students. It was really meaningful to watch them receive recognition that represents so much of what Servant Leadership stands for. I am very grateful I had the opportunity to serve in this club alongside the seniors who taught me so much, and I’m excited to carry what I’ve learned forward and share it with the incoming juniors.
